Project THAARAKAI is a cultural-scientific initiative under the Sarasaram Space Initiative, aimed at collecting, interpreting, and preserving all astronomical knowledge found in ancient Tamil literature, poetry, palm-leaf manuscripts, and traditional texts.

The word “தாரகை” (Thaarakai) means Star in Tamil — representing brilliance, guidance, and the eternal light of knowledge.

This project bridges Tamil heritage and space science, offering a platform for rediscovery, research, and learning.
